British Baking Inspired: Tea Time Treats

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Ages: Adult (18 and up)
All levels are welcome. No experience required.
Student Supplies:
- Note taking materials.
Join us for a day of British baking! We'll make some classic recipes like cream scones, shortbread, and sticky toffee pudding. We'll explain certain British ingredients, practice measuring by weight rather than volume, and learn to make a proper custard sauce. Bakers, on your mark, get set, BAKE!
There will be food tasting throughout the workshop, breaks will be as needed.
All materials are included with an estimated $25 depending on price of ingredients at time of workshop PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.

About Instructor:
Susannah has been a teacher her whole life. In forests and on camera, in school libraries and in the kitchen, she enjoys creating new adventures for students of all ages. She became a home cook at age twelve, caring for loved ones with warm hugs, fried pies, and birthday cake. Susannah is the Coordinator for Cooking and Nature Studies at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
