All levels welcome. No experience required.
With simple weaving techniques students will create a simple Carolina Snowflake. Students will use the same basic design to construct larger and more complex snowflakes as a tree topper or as a seasonal table topper. Several variations on design and size will be presented.
*We require all individuals over the age of two to wear appropriate masks in the classroom while participating in a workshop or event.
All materials are included in the Materials Kit Fee of $10, PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.
About Mark Hendry:
Mark Hendry is a full-time artisan specializing in historic handcraft with a focus on using natural materials. With over 30 years of experience as a professional teacher of fine and performing arts, both in private, public, and magnet schools, Mark travels throughout the country teaching all levels and ages. He teaches regularly for the John C. Campbell Folk School & Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, and is currently the director and resident artist for Mountain Heritage Handcraft, located in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
