About the Instructor: Marion Severy resides in Murphy, NC. She has had a fascination with fiber ever since she took an Earthwatch expedition to the Shetland Islands. There she learned to spin up a beautiful fleece and to knit it into a sturdy sweater. After some time, she took a “Sheep to Shawl” class from Martha Owen where friendships were forged and her immersion into everything fiber took full effect. Marion has since fallen down the rabbit hole (pun intended) and gotten her own pair of French Angora rabbits, Butterscotch and Licorice. If you see any of her hats or other work with a fuzzy halo, it’s got a bit of Butterscotch or Licorice’s wool in it. When she’s not crocheting, knitting or spinning, you can find her on the dance floor in a rag coat or clogs as a member of the Brasstown Morris Dancers.
