Explore goldwork embroidery. Goldwork, the art of embroidering with metal threads and wires, is a historic needlework technique with roots in ceremonial, royal, ecclesiastical and military garment design and embellishment. In this workshop, you will learn about the traditional materials used to create goldwork embroidery as well as the basic goldwork techniques of chipping and couching. No prior embroidery experience necessary to participate in this workshop, all levels welcome. (Tools and materials provided.)
