All levels are welcome. No experience required.

 Explore the Middle East's light and delicious flavors while making our own falafel, chicken kebobs, and more. Explore the use of herbs and spices, discuss spice blends, and find out what makes this cuisine so appealing to the global palate. 

 All food items are included with a Materials Kit Fee of $50-$80 payable to the instructor at the time of the workshop.  

*Materials fee is determined by the number of participants and cost of goods at the time of the workshop. 

*Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.  

*This workshop takes place on the John C. Campbell Folk School Campus in the Davidson Hall Cooking Studio.  Campus Map

Terra Ciotta moved to Murphy, NC, in August 2018 to take over the culinary program at Tri-County Community College. Prior to moving to Murphy, she was a culinary instructor at the Art Institute of Charlotte. Terra took up the role of the Folk School's Resident Artist in Cooking in February 2019. With over twenty-five years of experience in professional kitchens, plus ten years in post-secondary culinary instruction, she offers a well-developed blend of food and teaching skills to help students develop their own cooking talents. Chef Terra's particular culinary interests include local foods, history and culture, fine dining, and traditional cooking techniques.
