Have yourself a merry little Christmas ‘whisk’. Using traditional methods of construction for full sized decorative whisk brooms, we will scale down using smaller materials and miniaturize them! Adorable small whisks can make great ornaments or small functional brooms for tiny tasks.

There will be a 1-hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.

Experience needed: Must have foot treadle and tensioning experience. Some hand strength and coordination are required as students will be using a foot treadle to make their brooms.

Students Please Bring:

  • Students should be familiar with using a foot treadle and be able to maintain tension while creating a hand broom.
  • Apron or clothes that can get dirty.
  • Note taking materials.
  • (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $10.00. THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees. Materials fee will cover the price of four mini whisks, students may choose to purchase more materials if time allows to make more.
