Mosaic Stepping Stone

All levels are welcome. No experience required just some hand strength needed.

Come spend the day with us, learning mosaic techniques and creating your own beautiful, one-of-a-kind Mosaic Stepping Stone. Using the indirect application method , also called the reverse method, we will begin laying out our designs face down inside a form and then layer mesh and concrete on top as the foundation of our stepping stones. Once you’ve done this, you can take your mosaic home to continue to cure and then remove the form and temporary backing to reveal your colorful design. Discussions will include simple glass cutting, concrete mixing, reinforcing, and cure time.

All materials are included with $40 PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.

Linda Pannullo was bitten by the mosaics bug while taking a class at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in 2006, and she has been exploring mosaics and concrete ever since. In both Linda's work and workshops, traditional techniques and materials are honored while exploring contemporary mosaic styles. She is the 1st to have a mosaic installation at the NC Arboretum and was awarded an Art Scholarship by the Haywood area Arts Council in 2020. She looks forward to sharing her passion for this colorful and individualistic art with Folk School students.89i
