Many quilts are made from a series of the same sized blocks joined together directly or with sashing in between. Having each block finish at the exact same size is crucial. In addition to precise fabric cutting, precise piecing is important to master. We’ll watch close up demonstrations of accurate piecing of simple nine patch blocks, half square triangles, and curved piecing and have plenty of time for questions and answers as well as hands-on practice. If time allows, students will get a demonstration of foundational paper piecing. Bring your own precut fabric to practice piecing techniques or pay a $25 fee to the instructor for precut supplies to practice multiple examples of each type. If purchasing from the instructor, please indicate prior to the date of the class to allow for prep time.
All materials are included with a $25 PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.
*Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.
