Join us to learn the ancient Japanese art of Shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique where cloth is folded, twisted, or clamped in different ways to create stunning patterns. In this class you will experience the perfect blend of Shibori techniques and modern tie-dyeing. Using professional and safe dyes, we will create either a t-shirt or one yard of cotton fabric tied and dyed exactly to suit your tastes. You’ll be able to explore a wide variety of color and pattern possibilities while we learn about dye chemistry, patterns, folding, binding, and techniques!
All materials are included in the Materials Kit Fee of $35, PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.
*Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.
