Spinning Your Own Yarn

Ages: Adult (18 and up)
All levels are welcome. No experience required.
Students Supplies Needed:
- Y.O.W (Bring Your Own Wheel), spinning fiber will be provided.
- Note taking materials.
- (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.
Do you own a spinning wheel but aren’t sure how to use it? Have you already taken a class but need a refresher? This workshop is for people who have access to a spinning wheel but need help getting their hands and feet to work together.
There will be a 1-hour lunch break. Bring a lunch or explore local dining options.
All materials are included with a $25 PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.
About the Instructor: Ro Borr has had a love of fiber since she was 5 years old, when she started knitting! She has taught a variety of knitting and fiber arts classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. Ro is an active member of her local knitting and fiber group. She enjoys demonstrating her work at the Folk School’s Fall Festival and regional art walks. Ro lives in the North Georgia mountains with her husband Ron.
