About Instructor:
Carolyn Anderson is a Brasstown Carver and member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild. She has been carving for over 45 years! She enjoys introducing others to the Brasstown Carving tradition by demonstrating the style at schools, festivals, and at The Folk Art Center in Asheville. An active member of her community, Carolyn is very involved with the Brasstown Community Center, the Brasstown Farmer’s Market and various events and carving meet ups at the John C. Campbell Folk School. When Carolyn is not carving, she’s out walking in nature looking for sticks to carve, spending time in her garden, or enjoying time with family and friends.
