Health & Safety Guidelines

Olive’ Porch is committed to providing everyone with a positive experience of learning and sharing in a safe environment. The safety and well-being of students, instructors, guests, visitors, and staff are our highest priority. We are following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in developing our safety protocols and procedures.

These guidelines may be amended at any time. Reasonable efforts will be made to notify the community, students, and instructors in a timely manner.

Olive’s Porch cannot guarantee that anyone will not contract COVID-19 while on the premises. By registering for a class, attending a program, or visiting Olive’s Porch, all guests voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 exposure.

Please arrive healthy. If you’re sick, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.

Mask Policy

Effective Sunday, October 16, 2022 masks will be optional at Olive’s Porch. This policy change applies to instructors, students, staff, and visitors. Mask use is still recommended as a means to reduce the spread of COVID. 

Photography Release

Our Olive’s Porch & Folk School Marketing staff routinely take photographs of life on campus and at Olive’s Porch for use in catalogs and publicity, including social media. If you do not want your picture used for this purpose, please notify the staff upon arrival at Olive’s Porch. If someone approaches you, and you do not wish to have your photo taken, let the photographer know that you prefer not to be photographed.
