Twined Water Bottle Carrier

All levels are welcome. No experience required.

Students Please Bring:

• Note taking materials.
• Your favorite water bottle or a Mason Jar to build carrier around.
• Apron or work clothes that can get dirty.
• (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

Description: Weave a beautiful and durable reed basket with a leather strap to perfectly fit your water bottle and stay hydrated and stylish all summer long! Bring your own plastic or glass bottle to weave around or . This class is appropriate for beginners or those with some basketry experience.

All materials are included with a $ 20 FEE PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees. 

About the Instructor: Angela Eastman is an artist and teacher residing in Hillsborough, North Carolina. She holds an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and completed the Core Fellowship program at Penland School of Craft and has participated in residencies including the 2023 Artist-in-Residence at Olive’s Porch. In addition to sculptural work, Angela creates jewelry, baskets, furniture, and other home goods through her design business Flag Mountain Studio. Angela also teaches art workshops to adults and youth. She is an advocate for craft education as a vital component of understanding the material world we live in.
