Students Please Bring:

  • Note taking materials.
  • (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

Join us for an afternoon of broom craft and connection. More than a handcrafts class, Emileigh creates a ritual space for participants to settle in and create with intention. She will walk students through the art of tying a traditional turkey wing whisk broom and demonstrate how to weave a beautiful handle with broomcorn stems.

All materials are included with a $20 FEE PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees. 

About Instructor: Emileigh Zola has a passion for curating spaces of depth, connection, and inspiration. She is the founder of “Rhythm and Ritual”, where she empowers individuals to craft handmade brooms with mindfulness and intention. She has a unique flavor that blends together a touch of traditional Appalachia, a reverence for the natural world, and a zest for life. Emileigh took her first broom class at John C. Campbell folk School 10 years ago and has been teaching for the past eight years. She is a patient and attentive teacher, really encouraging students to slow down and tap into their own unique creative expression.
