Experience Level: All levels are welcome. No experience required.

Students Please Bring:

  • Comfortable shoes for standing.
  • A platter or cutting board for your charcuterie base.
  • Note taking materials.
  • (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

Learn the principles behind creating your own picture- worthy charcuterie board appropriate for a meal for two or as a part of a small cocktail party. We'll make a couple of homemade spreads, add meats, cheeses, and condiments tailored to your tastes. Enjoy!  

An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $30.00 - $50.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Terra Ciotta moved to Murphy, NC, in August 2018 to take over the culinary program at Tri-County Community College. Prior to moving to Murphy, she was a culinary instructor at the Art Institute of Charlotte. Terra took up the role of the Folk School's Resident Artist in Cooking in February 2019. Since then, she has transitioned to be the Folk School’s Executive Chef, curating culinary delights for all. With over twenty-five years of experience in professional kitchens, plus ten years in post-secondary culinary instruction, she offers a well-developed blend of food and teaching skills to help students develop their own cooking talents. Chef Terra's particular culinary interests include local foods, history and culture, fine dining, and traditional cooking techniques.
