About Instructor: Nancy says, “I discovered Bobbin Lace about 10 years ago.  I was fascinated by the historical aspect of it and fell in love with making lace! I have tried many different styles of lace from various parts of the world, but have yet to settle on a favorite style.

I am active in the Atlanta Lace Group and, as a schoolteacher by profession, naturally fell into helping others with their projects.  In recent years, I have had several opportunities to teach individuals and groups Beginning Bobbin Lace at libraries and cultural centers.  My goal is always to take the fear factor out of this craft and open doors for students to experience the beauty and enjoyment of it.

I am an active member of both the national IOLI organization and the Atlanta Chapter.  In 2024, I earned the Torchon Technical Proficiency Certificate from the International Organization of Lace.”
