Explore the magic of sun-powered photography in this immersive cyanotype workshop. Known for its rich Prussian-blue tones and dreamy silhouettes, cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes-and one of the most accessible for beginners. Learn how to create photograms from objects, both personal and every day.

Experience needed: All levels are welcome. No experience required.

Students Please Bring:

• Objects for photograms (lace, botanicals, household items)
• Note taking materials.
• (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated range of $15.00 - $30.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Rachel Watson is a contemporary artist working in installation, alternative photography, printmaking, woodworking, and jewelry. Watson received her Master of Fine Art from the University of Georgia in 2020. After her masters, she digitized the 7,000-piece collection at Newcomb Art Museum in New Orleans. Originally from Georgia, Watson currently resides in North Carolina where she renovated an elementary school into a nonprofit artist residency and concert venue, Elf School of the Arts.
