About Instructor: Chloe Anne Davidson grew up in the richly creative environment of the John C Campbell Folk School, where she considers herself incredibly lucky to have learned from many amazing artists while exploring a wide range of crafting skills, including recycled arts, papermaking, painting, calligraphy, jewelry-making, sculpting, and ceramics. Now based in Asheville, she is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in hand-lettering, illustration, and recycled material art. She creates custom chalkboard signs for local businesses and makes unique cards, jewelry, and artwork from repurposed materials, with a particular specialty in intricate pop-up card designs. She is also the Head of Operations for the OCEAN Asheville building, where she oversees events and heads up all graphic design at The Collider, a climate-research-based event and coworking center in downtown Asheville. Beyond her visual arts, Chloe is also a passionate musician, performing as part of a musical duo in Asheville and cherishing any opportunity to sing with her dad.

About Instructor: Nanette Davidson founded the cooking program for the Folk School and served as Resident Artist for twenty years. Her classes range from baking pies and sourdough breads in wood fired ovens, to weaving rugs, and working with repurposed materials to create whimsical paper decorations for seasonal displays. Her work has been featured in Hobby Home and Our State magazines, and her recipes have been printed in Garden and Gun and Atlanta Journal and Constitution. She is a member of the Southern Highland Handcraft Guild. She authored The Folk School Cookbook: Seasonal Recipes from the John C Campbell Folk School, published in 2018.
