This class is designed for beginning students as well as students who have some experience with watercolor. The class concentrates on experimenting with the basic techniques along with variations. You will learn about color using the color wheel and values. Students will also learn about watercolor paper and brushes. They will be encouraged to try various materials and techniques to find those which are most comfortable and pleasing to each individual. All supplies will be provided by the instructor, so it will not be necessary to bring anything except a sense of adventure and fun.
There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.
An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $35.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: The family of Virginia (Ginny) Urani has lived in the mountains of eastern Tennessee for generations. She lives with her husband, John, near Hayesville, North Carolina. Virginia studied art at night and accumulated over 40 hours in studio art at the Kansas City Art Institute and Wichita State University. She was an artist for Hallmark Cards before joining IBM where she worked for 20 years. Virginia works in several media including oil, pen and ink, pencil and watercolor. She loves the beauty of the mountains, especially the wildflowers. Through her work she invites you to enjoy the loveliness of the world around us.
