Ready to stop laboring over your watercolors and add freshness to your paintings? In this workshop, we will be working at a 45–65-degree tilt, encouraging pigments to flow and merge on the paper. We’ll practice letting go of perfection and rigid expectations by not overworking. Going with the flow will help us loosen up and have fresh eyes to appreciate what watercolors can do on their own.
Note: This is not a workshop for realistic animal portraiture. Our focus will be on expressive discoveries using animal photos as inspiration. Bring a 5x7 animal photo reference for a 5x7 finished watercolor to be painted during the workshop. Animal close-ups recommended for this process as shown in course description photos.
Experience Needed: Confident Beginners, Intermediate, or Advanced Watercolor students.
