Students Please Bring:
- The instructor will provide a paint kit and pre-cut paper for workshop use with a rental fee/materials fee listed below.
- Note taking materials.
- (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.
Join Suzy for a morning of experimenting with texture, depth and color to create your own beautiful work of art. We will paint skies, mountains and embellish details with summer in mind. This workshop is open to all experience levels. We will be studying wet-on-wet watercolor techniques, blending colors, and contemplating composition.
There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.
An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $25.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. This is a rental fee for using the instructors painting kit. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Suzanne DesLauriers has been a working artist for over thirty years. She was the 1996 Western North Carolina Creative Teacher of the Year and the 1999-2000 North Carolina Secondary Art Teacher of the Year. Suzy is a signature member of the Southern Appalachian Artists Guild and of the Southern Watercolor Society and the Southeastern Pastel Society. She has taught and exhibited her work in the Carolinas, Maine, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. She believes in unlocking the artist within each of us.
