Create a sparkling jewel mosaic mirror! Learn the fundamentals of the "direct method" as we work glass and tile to create a textural jewel. This is a great workshop for beginners to dabble in mosaics while decorating a 12” by 10” by 2” wide mirror frame. Discussions will include simple glass cutting, proper adhesives, and design. Students can bring costume jewelry, or special pieces to use as embellishments.
There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.
An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $40.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Linda Pannullo was bitten by the mosaics bug while taking a class at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in 2006, and she has been exploring mosaics and concrete ever since. In both Linda's work and workshops, traditional techniques and materials are honored while exploring contemporary mosaic styles. She is the 1st to have a permanent mosaic installation at the NC Arboretum and would love to have you send her a picture of you sitting in Nature's Throne, a larger-than-life size mosaiced chair! She looks forward to sharing her passion for this colorful and individualistic art with Folk School students.
