Have you ever made your own paint? In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of making watercolor paint! We will discuss the process of collecting earth pigments, using clay from North Carolina, and the simple steps to turn it into paint. Using earth pigments we collect ourselves, and some we've bought, we will make our own watercolor paints. Together, we will learn how our materials can act as storytellers of place, history, and experience.

There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.

An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $20.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.
