About Instructor: Colleen Trickett began making soap and skincare products in 1999 to meet a true need: cruelty-free and sustainable formulations that honor people, animals, and the planet. Driven by a passion for herbalism and the science of natural ingredients, she immersed herself in cosmetic chemistry, plant medicine, and regulatory compliance, building a foundation of deep technical knowledge. Today, she is an experienced formulator, indie cosmetic chemist, master soap maker, educator, and author, working with both individuals and beauty brands to bring thoughtful, effective products to life. Colleen’s journey began in Columbus, Ohio, with studios in Asheville’s River Arts District and Midtown Atlanta before establishing her current location in Roswell, Georgia. She combines a grounded, science-forward approach with an artisan’s touch, creating products that embody quality, sustainability, and innovation. Her work is informed by over two decades of hands-on formulation experience, a commitment to clean beauty principles, and a deep respect for the synergy between science and nature.
