Have you wanted to try making pickles, but have been intimidated by all the canning and water bath equipment needed?  This class is for you!  We'll make a variety of delicious pickles in small quantities that go right in your refrigerator, no canning needed!  Participants will learn the basics of making a brine, how to prepare different types of vegetables or fruits to be pickled, and ways to customize your pickled creations.   Pickles made during class will include pickled red onions, pickled beets, pickled ginger, and classic cucumber pickles.  Participants will leave with a few jars of delicious pickles and the skills to produce many kinds of pickled treats.

There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.
