Rocky Landscape in Watercolor

Experience Level: All levels are welcome. No experience required.

Students Please Bring:

• The instructor will provide a paint kit for workshop use included in the rental fee/materials fee below.
• Note taking materials.
• (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.

We will study making wet on wet skies, we will use a variety of techniques to make rocks including use of plastic wrap, and credit cards. We will explore the use of lifting and salt in the reflections to create water.

An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $25.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. This fee will cover a rental fee for paint palettes used in class along with pre-cut paper and other materials. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Suzanne DesLauriers has been a working artist for over thirty years. She was the 1996 Western North Carolina Creative Teacher of the Year and the 1999-2000 North Carolina Secondary Art Teacher of the Year. Suzy is a signature member of the Southern Appalachian Artists Guild and of the Southern Watercolor Society and the Southeastern Pastel Society. She has taught and exhibited her work in the Carolinas, Maine, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. She believes in unlocking the artist within each of us.
