Students Please Bring:
- Apron
- Note taking materials.
- (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.
Explore marbling in water with Suminagashi floating inks and alcohol inks. In this workshop you will learn how to marble papers, experiment with ink patterns, and make origami boxes. Depending upon time and pace of class, other paper projects may be introduced.
There will be a 1- hour lunch break. Bring a sack lunch or explore local dining options.
An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $5.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Linda Miller has been fascinated by paper art for over 30 years. She has taught paper arts classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School and is used to teaching a wide range of students. Her classes include a mix of mediums, including papercutting (Scherenschnitte) and marbling with Suminagashi ink. You’ll most likely see her work at the Folk School’s Fall Festival where she’s been a regular vendor.
