Students Please Bring:
- The instructor will provide a paint kit for workshop use with a rental fee (info below).
- Students will also need to purchase a pre-cut paper kit for this workshop; paper kits will be available for purchase at Olive’s Porch on the day of the workshop (info below).
- Note taking materials.
- (Optional) A snack and/or water bottle. Filtered water is available in the classroom.
This workshop will cover sketching in, looking at composition, blending colors for evergreens, looking at a light source, and using other techniques to create your landscape. Come play with watercolor and expand your knowledge of the medium.
An additional fee for materials provided by your instructor for this workshop is estimated at $15.00 THIS FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop. This is considered a rental fee for painting kits. You will also need to purchase a pre-cut paper kit for this workshop from Olive’s Porch for $10.00. Material fees may change depending on the number of participants and price of materials at the workshop. *Payment by cash or check is required for materials fees.

About Instructor: Suzanne DesLauriers has been a working artist for over thirty years. She was the 1996 Western North Carolina Creative Teacher of the Year and the 1999-2000 North Carolina Secondary Art Teacher of the Year. Suzy is a signature member of the Southern Appalachian Artists Guild and of the Southern Watercolor Society and the Southeastern Pastel Society. She has taught and exhibited her work in the Carolinas, Maine, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. She believes in unlocking the artist within each of us.
